The Program on Negotiation’s Research Lab is hosting an event on how gender variously impacts leadership, negotiation, risk taking, and work-family balance. The presenters are Hannah Riley Bowles of Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, and Jens Mazei from Dortmund University in Germany.
Hannah and Jens will review and synthesize the latest research. One big takeaway is that gender effects are not “stable.” That is, situational factors strongly influence when and how gender matters.
The live session will be this Friday, December 10 from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm ET (Boston time). Here’s a link to reserve your place. Sign up now as registration closes Wednesday, December 8. For people who aren’t able to join the Zoom conversation, I’ll add an update here if livestreaming becomes possible.
One last thing. This week I’ve flipped the usual sequence, putting up this short post now to let people know about Hannah and Jens’s presentation. Later this week I’ll put up a longer article called, “Lessons From A Great Negotiator . . . Whom You’ve Never Heard Of.” Hope you enjoy it! Mike
